IFIXIT Plastic Cards Out of Stock

I am going to upgrade my iMac to an SSD and need some plastic cards as per the instructions. The IFixIt cards however are out of stock and only available in UK/Italy/Australia but I’m in the US. Is a credit card or similar good enough and of similar thickness and flexibility? Any other equivalent cards I can buy somewhere?

Thanks for the help.

Basically, the card is just a credit card blank. If you have a few old ones you can use them.

But, I also find the guitar picks also work. Here’s the IFIXIT version which uses a slightly softer plastic iFixit Opening Picks (Set of 6)

Just don’t insert the card or pick too deep as you can damage the LCD display. And lastly, not pry up either until the adhesion is mostly released.

Thanks guys. A second question - will any old 2.5” SATA SSD fit in the EMC2544? I’m looking at the Sandisk SSD Plus.

@ajcooke01v2 - This series uses a 2.5" drive not adapter needed.

Shouldn't be a problem though to fit that guy in the available space right? In my experience not all 2.5" SATA drives are the same size.

Any SATA 2.5" drive will work. If you have a Fusion Drive confit you'll need to first break it.
