Black Screen, no chime, fan noise diagnosis

Got the good ol’ black screen upon boot. Tried all the common reset key shortcuts, tried removing the battery, tried different RAM configs, tried a different power supply, even tried the trick where you disconnect the fan, also waited for the battery to go dead - nothing.

how should I go about with the diagnosis? where do I begin? what are some parts that are likely to be related to this problem?

Answer this question I have this problem too

What happens when you plug in an external monitor?

What do you see when you shine a flashlight through the lid logo. Do you see the faint outline of your desktop and its icons?

Nothing, there's no chime and the fans spin at irregular speeds

Disconnect the battery and the MagSafe. Press the power button for 10 seconds. Reconnect the MagSafe and if the Logic Board is good you should get a spontaneous reboot.
