Fan running at full RPM

Hi Guys. My MacBook air 13” mid 2013 has a fan problem- it runs at max all the time. I have looked at the activity monitor- nothing unusual. I have tried all the resets- no change. I have tried some of the software for manually controlling the fan - no joy there either. I have replaced the fan - this solved the problem for a few days and now its back. Any ideas? I was next thinking of swapping out the logic board but this would be costly if it doesn’t solve the issue. Any help or advice is appreciated. Big thanks.

The battery runs perfect, no problems charging. No other issues. When I opened it to change the fan no obvious signs of damage either.

Answer this question I have this problem too

You could download “Macs Fan Control” it works.

@Ashley Nixon - TG Pro is a better thermal monitoring and management app.

You need to go in to the bios and set the fan speed down. if that does not work it could be a number of reasons.

@confirmedmars4 - The system has thermal controls which adjust the fans speed automatically, so forcing it is not a good idea until you understand the root cause. Which is where I was going here.
