error code F08 indicates a heater fault so I have replaced the element but still displays error code.

hello Simon this is the error code check the listed items from this error code.
The main control unit in the washing machine has detected that there is an open circuit somewhere in the heating circuit.
The main control unit will detect this error at the start of a program and during the spin phase.

In order to remove the error code: 2 options:
1 Reprogram the CCU which is known as an ETNA CCU (module). This will require a hardware key and an ESAM unit (neither of which are readily available to purchase).
2 Install a pre-programmed ETNA CCU for the correct model.
I’m adding this info in 2021 in order to help anyone who encounters the same problem.
BTW - I’m a field service engineer.

Check the wash heater for earth leakage
Check wiring to the heater

I have the same problem. After replacing the heating element, the code is still there. How to delete (remove) the f:08 code? Any ideas? The dashboard how to reset it?
