Moody (USA) Tri-point Driver For iPhone?

I have started converting all my regular use tools over to iFixIt “Moody” series “made in USA” the teal handle drivers.

I ordered a tri-point driver in this style to replace the current one I use in iPhones but it is not small enough. I ordered Y0 figuring Y1 would only be larger.

The current one I use is made by a knock-off foreign company called “BEST” and it says 0.6x25mm.

Referring to my iFixIt Manta driver kit it includes a “Y00” and “Y000” bit…I assume the “Y000” is the correct bit as when referring to a Phillips bit the “J000” is the best size for the majority of iPhones.

So, where do I find the USA made Y000 (or Y00) “Moody” driver!?

EDIT:

I just realized that iFixIt does not even sell their version of a molded handle Y000 tri-point screwdriver. I literally have to use their universal driver with a removable Y000 bit.

I see they have a plastic version of their precision bit driver which I may be more open to since its lighter therefor less of a chance I will personally over tighten a screw.

Still when working in tight spaces such as phones the bit driver is not narrow enough. For example if you are working on an iPhone without taking the screen off or removing the shield prior to screen removal you want a long narrow driver with a handle preferably taller than the screen…such as the Moody series drivers.

I contacted Moody directly, which is now owned by Central Tools. Waiting for an answer on a Y000 driver.

Answer this question I have this problem too

You can get the individual bit for the bit driver linked below here, scroll to the bottom of the drop down menu and you can choose what size tri-point bit you need. To use these bits, you will need to buy the bit driver below too!

That was not helpful at all. If I wanted to go that route I would simply use the driver and bit out of my Manta kit as stated....I want the Moody USA driver....

You are going to be better off contacting Moody directly then about this because iFixit doesn’t sell said screwdriver.

I don't see what you want us to say. A bunch of community fixers cannot magic up a driver that is not sold. You said that you contacted moody directly and were waiting on a response. I would wait a little longer first, and wait if they respond. I found this on their website. Try contacting these suppliers, and see if they have it. http://www.moodytools.com/MTI_Distributo...
