Why can I no longer set the alarm time?

At first, the clock numbers were scrolling fast when I entered the room, beeping when it got to the set alarm time, and continued on. My son unplugged the clock and it again scrolled fast. Unplugged and plugged in again, and this time, the time appeared, but I can no longer set the alarm time.

Hi @stan_the_man7 ,

Try the following:

Switch off and disconnect the AC power from the clock.

Remove the backup battery from the clock. Take note of the orientation of the battery as you remove it. That way you’ll reinsert it the correct way. ;-) Here’s a link to the user manual that shows how to do it.

Press and hold the Enter/Time Set button for about 10 seconds and then release. (this will discharge any residual power from the clock and release any “corrupted data settings” that are being “held”, that may have been caused by power fluctuations or surges etc.)

Reinstall the backup battery

Reconnect the AC power and test if you can now set it OK
