Try starting up from your original system installation disk. Insert the disk and restart holding down the "C" key. If it starts, go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities > Disk Utility. Select the drive on the left and see if you can repair it. If no disk shows up, let us know for directions on hard drive replacement.

I don't have that disk is it omething i can just get off line ?

No you can't just get it. Do you have a retail system installation disk or any diagnostic tool disks? Do you have access to another Power PC processor Mac with a firewire port?

by

If you have no disks, find a friend with a pre-Intel Mac, desktop or laptop. Connect them with a firewire cable. Start your machine up holding down the "T" key. If your hard drive is running, the icon will show up on the screen of the other Mac. Now go to Disk Utilities and see if you can repair the drive.
