The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is known by different models depending on the features. Regular model: SM-T580 (WiFi), SM-T585 (3G,4G/LTE and WiFi) released in May 2016 or S-Pen model: SM-P580 (WiFi), SM-P585 (3G,4G/LTE and WiFi) released in September 2016. LCD seems damaged, which part is needed to replace?

My sister dropped my tablet on concrete and now the display is like this (Pic 1).

Pressuring the center back near where the bottom of the LCD cable (Pic 2) returns the other half of the screen but still keeps the lines.

Is it the LCD that is broken or the cable?

Also, I would like to try to remove and re-insert the LCD cable before removed the digitizer from (Pic 2) circled in red but don’t know how.

@jbob418 if this happened after a drop it is very likely that this is a broken LCD. Use something like this guide Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 Motherboard Replacement for the ribbon cables and this guide Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 Screen Replacement to replace the LCD.
