screw driver for repairs

I am trying to replace the screen for my iphone 4 and bought the new pentalobe screwdriver and managed to get the first 2 screws out. Now my phillips head #00 is too big to get out the next level of screws. I even bought a new set that has a #00 and #000 phillips head and both of them were too big. Any ideas?

Thank you for the information!!

iPhone screws are Phillips #00, I however often use a Phillips #0 for my repairs, go figure. The iPhone screws are very shallow, the tiny drivers often hit the center bottom of the screw head making them useless. In the sets you have try the #0 driver. Or you may have to buy another #00. Good luck.

Where did you buy your tools from that worked? Have you used it with an iphone 4 from 2011?

Take your iPhone 4 to the Hardware Store. Demo Phillips until you find one you like. If you live in the US go to a 99cent store, demo Phillips until you find one you like. A whole kit will cost you 99 cents. Be careful go slow don't strip any screws. Also there is a small flat head screw to remove during the repair. So make sure you have a small flat head driver too.
