Why MacBook Pro shut downs under macOS but works under Windows?

I am not alone with that problem

Why does an external display prevent my MBP from freezing & crashing?

The problem with macOS is not something obvious like third party app - as I’ve installed clean latest macOS and I’ve got same problem - or SMC and NVRAM reset.

The point is - our MacBooks work PERFECT in…. Windows (10) Boot Camp - but we didn’t buy MacBook to run…. Windows on it :(

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

What Mac OS X are you running? Was it working OK before you did the last system update? Have you added ant 3rd party upgrades or parts?

@ajcooke01 posting a comment or answer implies you have some knowledge of the issue. You don't so don't make a statement like it's probably the logic board. This helps no one and only serves to discourage the OP. So can it! This is not the first time you have done this type of thing. Just keep your two cents worth in your pocket.

@mayer just because you are more experienced than me does not give you the right to put me down. Kinda offensive so please don’t. If I was really worth 2 cents then I would have no reputation (300 is not that much but it is something). I’ll take your advice but quit with the insults please.

@ajcooke01 It wasn't meant as an insult. Sorry you took it that way.

Let try running the built-in diagnostics. Reboot your system and hold the D key. Did you get any errors?

not at all - Apple Shop confirmed it as well (in Windows 10 this MacBook works like new)

And the answer is... no errors or got error??

I think (because MacBook is on so far for about few hours) - final release Mojave and clean install fixed problem.

Crazy think - under clean Beta 11 I still had shutdowns - I kind-of-fix them with disabling Thunderbolt drivers.

So far so good

You have a hardware issue which you've only bypassed.
