So i replaced my iphone 5 screen cause i dropped it but ever since i did the screen sometimes glitches and starts opening random apps or opens the wrong app but the most annoying part is that the top of the screen doesn’t work properly meaning for example when i want to search something on safari i have to press on the search bar like 10 times before it works same with youtube and when i make phone calls i cant her the person speaking i have to turn on the speaker

You need to determine if the issue is with the “phone” or with the replacement screen. If you still have the original screen and it works enough (even though it is cracked), then re-install it to see if the issue persists. If it does, then you damaged something on the logic board, such as the connector or possible dislodged some components when you pried the connectors off.

If the original screen works, then you have a defective replacement screen.

sorry i know i sound dumb but bare with me . When i tried the old screen i didn't have these problems

If you tried the old screen after the new screen started glitching and it works fine, then your replacement screen is the issue.

by

can this problem also be caused by the battery

by

The battery shouldn't have anything to do with a screen problem.

by

i read on here that some user changed the battery and that fixed the problem
