Replacing the power supply for PS3
I have a PS3 80GB, 4USB's, and the power supply is 110v because I have bought it from Canada.
I have moved to the UK and they are using 220v here for the power. Is it possible to replace the internal power supply to v220 with no other problems?
Please help, I got tired from using power transformers :-D
Thanks
Is this a good question?
Thanks oldturkey03. But it says clearly only 110v and its not slim, is the old PS3 (the fat one) :-)

Khaled, yes you are right, that's what it says on the PSU since it was sold in North America. However, the power supply is a universal power supply and does the higher voltage and hertz "Sony PS3 Power Supply PPS 40GB 60GB 80GB APS-226 Features Weight: 900g AC IN: 100V-240 4.8-2.0A 50/60Hz DC Out: +5V : 3A +12V : 32A Also Can I replace 80gbps3's power supply220-240 with US 110-240v is about the PS3 not the slim. Again, you can use it by just adding a travel converter so the power cord fits in your outlets, but you do not require a transformer.
