Right usb port is not working

I find the usb on the right is not working after I changed the battery. It couldn’t read the external hard disk I plug in. The card reader still works fine.

Does anyone know what might be the problem or anyway to fix it? Thanks.

You’re lucky! The I/O board and its cable are both easily replaceable!

I would start off with the cable MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2013-Early 2015) I/O Board Data Cable it tends to fail and if that didn’t do it you’ll need to replace the I/O board its self MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2013-Mid 2014) Right I/O Board.

Follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Mid 2014 I/O Board Replacement
