Go to the menu in the top left corner and select about this mac, it will tell you there.

Hi, Click on the Apple menu button on the top left side of your computer. then click on about this Mac. The Little box will tell you your OS version--processor and installed memory. Ralph

For further information, having brought up 'About This Mac' if you then click 'More Info' it will bring up the 'System Profiler' (also accessible via Applications), click on the memory section, this will give you extra info on how many ram slots you have, and how much ram is in each slot.
