Best way to clean Ifixit magnetic project mat?

Good morning everyone

We have a magnetic project mat from Ifixit in our office. Now over the years it’s gathered lots of dust particles that seem to love it enough to not let go. Any good advice on how to best clean the mat without damaging it?

I wash mine with warm water and dish soap.
