Have a white screen on power up

Moniter was on and all of a sudden went white. Now it is always white no matter what I do. Is it a motherboard issue or something else?

White screens are usually indicative of a bad hard drive or corrupted boot system.

mrbruce300  on your monitor this just means that only your backlight is on. You will have to check the video source and see if it is connected etc. If the monitor does not show a menu etc. on startup when disconnected from a video source you most likely have a bad main board.

These monitor had issues with bad caps, so you will have to take a look at the boards and check for an obvious damage. Post some images of the boards with your question so that we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
