The Xbox One Model 1698 Wireless Controller was released by Microsoft in 2015 alongside the Model 1697 controller. This controller is similar to the Model 1697 with internal modifications. How do I fix my left joystick will not recognize when pushed.

I can push in my left stick but controller doesnt recognize it. I have taken apart to see if it just needed cleaning but nothing fixed it.

I will assume that you are talking about the left side joystick which can move up/down/left/right and also can be pushed in to “click”. If this is correct, than the tact switch that is part of that assembly has failed. You need to replace the entire assembly. This can be purchased for around $10 and is the joystick and switch as one piece. If you can solder, you should be able to replace this. I have included a link to a representative part.
