Stock thermal paste around apu pins

Hi so I decided to replace the stock thermal paste on my PS4 and while I was doing it some old thermal paste went on or near the pin holes around the apu. Would this be a problem or can I leave it like that.? I already tried cleaning it the best I could with 70% isopropyl alcohol.

Chosen Solution

Thermal paste is non-conductive and won’t interfere with any of the pins. While it is preferred that this not be all over the place, it will not cause problems with the function of the unit. You can try to remove it using alcohol or another solvent, but if the amount is small, leave it alone. You are more likely to cause issues attempting to remove it that you will solve.
