Sorry I'm putting a question on a question, but could you get the app "Notes"? Like the one where you........ make....... notes, I guess. It's already downloaded on iPod Touches and iPads at first. Help!

On the iPod Nano you cannot install any apps, you only get what comes with the device.

So for the high price you get crap and Nike fitness. What a wast of money I spent.

An unhappily Apple person. MM

Forgot to say it lives in a drawer. No use.

Get over yourself. Did you check what you were buying before you bought it?

jade, not sure which apps you are looking for. Here is a quick write up on the nano and it appears like there are not a whole lot of apps that you can add. "Like you can in iOS, you can rearrange the icons, which include: Albums, Artists, Clock, Composers, Fitness, Genius Mixes, Genres, Now Playing, Playlists, Photos, Podcasts, Radio, Settings, and Songs. None of them can be added nor subtracted, however—this is not an apps-based device like the iPod touch. That said, the inclusion (or retention, I should say) of the Nike+ fitness app and built-in pedometer to customize your workouts helps save the nano from feeling completely feature-barren, as does the FM radio tuner, that, for so long, was absent from iPods." Hope this will clear things up for you. Good Luck.

You cannot put apps on the iPod nano.

Because of it's light weight and little clip, the nano was the choice in the fitness community, but they're quickly becoming obsolete because without GPS, wi-fi or Bluetooth, there isn't much you can do with it other than listen to music.

Basic things that millions of people do now days like mapping your run, uploading workout details and pairing to wireless speakers are impossible with the iPod Nano. It's really sad how even though technology has advanced so much, but we still have to carry our phones with us when we run or workout. Now they want us to carry a phone AND a watch.

I understand the space limitations but Apple should at least make iPod adapters that when connected, gave you Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS abilities and more.
