MacBook Pro lower case on a MacBook

I've read that the lower cover of the MacBook Pro is significantly lighter than that of the lesser MacBook. Has anyone tried placing a MacBook Pro lower case on the MacBook?

I am almost willing to pay the $149 for the part just for the weight savings...

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Cannot be done as the two machines are physically different.

Expanding a bit on Brady's answer, the MBP 13" Unibody lower case has a rear vent attached to it, and a different non-conductive surface for the logic board. The MacBook A1342 has a bump in the middle on the inside to clip onto the frame, and the non-conductive surface for the logic board is different. So while the screw holes match up, you'd have to modify the case quite a bit, and you'd run the risk of damaging your logic board.

Sorry!
