Does the MacBook Pro 13 inch unibody 2009 support 16gb of memory

I’ve been looking at OWC for 16gb of memory, i’m curious if I can successfully put 16 gb of memory with my MacBook Pro 2009.

Apple states that it supports these types of memory cards:

“MacBook pro 2009 and 2010 support 1066 MGz PC3-8500 DDR 3”

OWC has 16gb of memory and it matches these standards... so could it work?

Here’s a screen shot of the OWC product i’m looking at :

Hi @isaiahcwhite ,

It looks like the 2009 MacBook Pro can only support up to 8 GB of RAM. (source)

There is only one instance near that generation of MacBook Pros which can support 16 GB of RAM, and it’s the Mid-2010 13”, and only in a very specific setup.
