How do you open the case with out scratching the screen?

I bought the kit and used the tools...they seem flimsy. I cannot open the case. I am trying not to scratch the screen however this is almost inevitable. I tried looking on YOUTUBE but it seems like mine is super glued shut. I am usually good at taking electronics apart and putting them together again. Why is this so hard? Suggestions? Tips? Anything?

Hi @chrissybud420 ,

If you bought the kit from iFixit, the tools are designed to break before damaging your device. That’s probably why they feel a little flimsy.

With that said, the rear case is held together not by glue, but very strong clips. It helps to know where the clips are. As @jayeff pointed out, check out the guide to see where the clips are, and how to tackle them.
