USB device drawing too much power
When I start up my Mac I get this message even though there are not any usb devices hooked up.

I'd try resetting the PMU and PRAM. This "clears out" many of the settings that are in place on a machine and that may be causing issues.

You might also want to take a close look at your USB ports and make sure nothing is shorted out. Ralph
