LCD Display unresponsive black screen issue

Ok, so one day I decided to tear down my google pixel so I can change the battery (It needed to be done). While taking out the top portion of the screen, I had dug in far too much and cracked the LCD screen in several points. Knowing the potential harm I have already done, I proceeded to go to the battery just so I can attempt to finish the task I had at hand. After reassembling the phone (surprisingly) it didn't display any type of information, or show any signs of touch response. What I did notice is that the power button and the finger scanner on the back have responded well. To get to my question, I wanted to ask if the issue I am dealing with is solely an LCD replacement issue or did I screw up my phone to the point where I need repairs out the wazoo?? I'll appreciate any feedback!

You will need to replace the screen assembly. When the inner layer (LCD display layer) gets cracked the phone will not display any image which is unfortunately how OLED displays are.

Looks like the only issue is just the screen as you can tell the phone is on.

Here is guide and parts from iFixit it needed:

Google Pixel Display Replacement

Google Pixel Screen

Google Pixel Display Adhesive

For future reference and to help others when you want to remove glued in screens like the Pixel / Moto only pry in as much as the width of the adhesive for where you are prying and avoid flexing the glass / screen assembly as that is how lots of them get damaged.

A good guide is looking at YouTube videos of people opening up these phones. That way you know exactly how much you can pry in without needing to pry / push into the LCD.

Thin plastic flexible cards, heating the screen (80°C) and isopropyl alcohol on the card is the best way to lift up adhered screens.
