MacBook Pro suddenly dead

Block Image

Last two weeks ago, I forgot to turn off my laptop when I try opening it the next day, it does not open (Black Screen, No Fan, No keyboard backlight ).

I charged it for up to 3 hours then tried the SMS reset, power discharge, NVRAM reset but to no avail.

Then I decide to open it up and try the jump start I saw on youtube. I disconnect the battery, connect the adapter and pressing the Power button(It boot up). Then I tried connecting the battery, remove the adapter and pressing the power button( It boot up also).

The sad thing is after I shut down the laptop, the same problem occurs.

Thank you

You likely have a worn-out battery. install this gem of an app: CoconutBattery then take a screenshot of the main window and paste it here for us to see: Adding images to an existing question

Update (07/03/2018)

The cycle count is what I wanted to see as well. A battery which has gone past the 2/3 rds point in cycles is at a point where it likely is not holding its charge that long.

Heres a reference on cycles: Determine battery cycle count for Mac notebooks as you can see the limit is 1000 cycles. Sorry Its time for a new battery!

Here’s the IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Battery Replacement and here’s the needed part in a kit: MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Early 2015) Battery

One of the things you can do to keep your battery from wearing out is not letting it discharge fully as you have done, each deep recycle wears your battery so it’s not able to hold the charge as long.
