Can I use 1300MHz RAM with this device?

Hello everyone,

I understand that the MacBook used RAM that is around 1000MHz, but would it be possible to take a DDR3 1300MHz stick from another device that I have, and the MacBook would just underclock it to ~1000MHz? (As I understand that this is possible sometimes?)

It's possible your machine would take it.
