Vertical shades across the screen

I have bought and replaced the display on my 5s, touch and all is ok, but it is some vertical shades across the screen:

They also "follows" the icons when I swipe left and right.

Is this problem most likely hardware failure or bad connection / contact ?

I'm out of ideas, someone with knowledge/experiences with similar issues?

Thank you, any way I can figure this out on my own - i.e.: determine whether the screen actually is defective or not?

I have to ask, the first time I'm doing something like this and want to learn.

Try replugging screen cables with battery unplugged.

Also try using the old screen if it still works to find out if your replacement screen is faulty.

Just did it.

I unplugged both the screen and battery - have no other screen to test with since the original is damaged - the same stripes is there.

All the cables and pins looks all good, so the screen itself is probably broken.

I'll see if I might buy another new display, anyway it was fun doing the job myself.
