What is a good used MacBook model and what to look at?

Hi everyone,

I live in the Netherlands. I'm looking at buying a used MacBook Pro (because I find the prices of a new one just too high).

So do you guys have some advice on which model I should buy? I know there are some MacBook Pros with GPU problems.

What should I look at when buying a used MacBook Pro?.

I would really appreciate the help.

Depends on how much you want to spend. If cheaper, the 2012 13" or 15" Unibodies are both really good MacBooks and are very reliable once you upgrade the RAM and HD to an SSD. If you want to spend a little more then the 13" Retinas from Late 2013-Early 2015 are very good. Anything else has some kind of known issue and I would stay away from tbh

Thank you so much. I was kind of in the dark on the macbook side, I don't really know a lot about them, but I definetly want to upgrade the macbook with my 500 GB SSD and I want to upgrade the RAM. This answer was exactly where I was looking for.
