Individual key makes a "click" sound when pressed harder/faster

The A-key is affected on the surface book 2 keyboard, but only when pressing it harder than usual. It makes a "click" sound and as if it got stuck a couple of milliseconds. Not sure if this is a major problem as the button is still working and sounding not unusually when typing 'normally'.

Is it an issue with the rubber cup or key hinge/cap, or rather an issue with the key mount/ mounting clips, which are not easily replaceable with a key kit?

I am having the same problem with my A and Q keys on my surface book 2. Any luck?

Same here with the keys a, q and r. It drives me nuts. I want to love the device but paying for a premium device and receiving a typing experience worse then typing on a 10 bugs keyboard is just not acceptable. I'll return the thing if there is not solution to it. Did any of you figure something out?

Chosen Solution

Minor plastic spike in the key mechanism, not a problem in any way.
