Why does the thermal plate not line up during lcd and screen repair

Why doesn't this line up? What is the circuitry thing? Why doesn't it go under the thermal plate? Like it doesn't line up, it won't go under the thermal plate and I don't know what to do. Did I get sent the wrong kit? And can I just cover that circuitry thing with electrical tape?

The problem is that your phone is an iPhone 6 Plus and you're replacement screen is for an iPhone 6S Plus.

You have an iPhone 6 Plus, not an iPhone 6S Plus. This is what an iPhone 6S Plus logic board looks like (iPhone 6s Plus Logic Board Replacement). This is different from the picture you originally linked. You received an iPhone 6S Plus screen. That is why the LCD shield plate doesn't line up.
