Is it possible to replace the nand memory chip?

Section of the logic board of my Iphone 6 16GB fried and is beyond repairable, however the memory chip is still intact. I have another Iphone 6 which only has 12GB. Is it possible to desolder the chip from the 16GB Iphone and replace it with the 12GB Iphone's chip by soldering it on? Will the data corrupt itself or will it stay intact allowing me to get my photos and what not? Thank you.

Answer this question I have this problem too

You can't just swap over the nand chips only.

The chips need to be reprogrammed either using ipbox or naviplus pro then the phone would need to be restored which would result in data loss.

You could get it working by swapping a number of chips from one board to another, but this is really only feasible for people that are very experienced in board-level repair / microsoldering.

CPU / Baseband / NAND / (Probably WI-FI chipset), reball as well.

Also, there is no such thing as a 12GB NAND. It's a 16GB chip but iOS uses ~4GB for system stuff.
