iBook will not boot or show any sign of life.

Hi,

I've just (knowingly) bought an iBook G4 off of eBay for 20 bucks. I didn't intend on repairing it in the first place but it seems like that's what I'm doing. I've disassembled it and checked all connectors but it still won't turn on no matter what I do. I suspect the DC-in board or power adapter as there's damage on the shell near the DC in jack and the power adapter is a non OEM one. There's also no HDD but I assume that this isn't a problem and if the machine was working it'd just boot to a flashing folder.

If anyone knows what the problem could be, your feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I take it your non-OEM charger has no light on it so you can't tell if the battery has charged or not?

Yeah it definitely doesn't, so I have absolutely no idea if the battery is charged at all.
