Not all of the trackpad is clickable

So ive noticed on my personal machine that i cannot click anywhere on the edge of the trackpad i have to click at least 1cm in from the trackpad in order for the force touch to even click, for example i cant even right or left click right in the corner this doesn't happen on the 13 inch im just wondering if this is normal as most of the time im using a bluetooth mouse.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You may need to visit a store which has one on display to verify. For some reason I think thats right the click area is not to the edge.

Apple is pushing to the touch mediphor like the newer iPhones. So now you press and hold to gain access to the right click menu.

Check with Apple to see if this is covered under their new program.

i popped it into them today, they refused to do anything, i checked all the devices in the store and around 7 of them had the same issue however some of them didn't, at first i thought it was all devices.

I had the same problem.

Apple actually changed my trackpad/keyboard 3 times in a row before realising they couldn't do anything.

They then understood it was a broader problem affecting all new 15'macbook pro.

They explained to me that the haptic feedback does not cover the whole area of the trackpad. There is no fix.

Compared to the ones I've seen in store, the whole trackpad should be clickable? Even if half of your finger is off one side, it should still be able to be clicked? I would definitely try and take it into a store if possible and compare/get them to repair it for you.
