Where is the best place to find older Apple desktops/notebooks?

I kind of want to look into buying 'vintage' Apple desktops/notebooks. Where are some good places I can find these to buy?

I was thinking maybe an eMac, iMac G3 (the flower power one!!), Macintosh se 30, iBook, PowerBook or even an Apple Newton MessagePad. (I know it's not a laptop & wasn't a success) Or any older Apple device for that matter.

These will probably be hard to find but what are some good sites to look on that are reliable and safe?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Contact old Mac repair guys. Sometimes they have a garage full.

@mayer like you? (no offense)

@captainsnowball Exactly, I have no idea of how many machines I have going back to 1984. (I got rid of all the Apple II machines).

by

@mayer how come you got rid of them? And which is the best, if you don't mind me asking?

Not enough storage space and there was no demand for the parts in 1999. In that era it was the Lisa. the the GS.

I loved Apple's BASIC based OS. The IIe's were great.

Depending on where you live, there might be some local places you could check out. Electronic recycling centers oftentimes have quite a few, or computer refurb places. If there is a Free Geek near you, check them out. Locations are listed here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Geek#...

Searching for the exact model you want on Ebay will get you what you want. Don't search for "Vintage mac". First its too generic, and second, the older Apple products don't use the word Macintosh or Mac.

Here is "Apple Lisa" for example.

Just searching ebay for "vintage mac" should do the trick! https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4...
