PS4 Won’t Display

So just bought a PS4 (CUH-1001A) fixer upper. It turns on but won’t display on the TV. The light on the PS4 is blue and slowly alternates/fades from blue to off. Any ideas on what might be wrong or what else I can do to trouble shoot it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You might try putting it in safe mode:

1) Turn off the PS4 system by pressing the power button on the front panel. The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off.

2)Once the PS4 system is off, press and hold the power button again. Release it after you hear the second beep: one beep will sound when you first press, and another seven seconds later.

3)Connect the DUALSHOCK 4 with the USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.

I’ve tried this. It’s not an actual button, but a sensor for the power and eject “buttons.” When I hold my finger against the button, it will beep once (signaling the powering on), but the second beep comes 15 to 20 seconds later, rather than 7 seconds, and the lights on the PS4 shut off. So I’m assuming I’m just powering it down. (My hand still has not left the button.

Either way, when I do this, still nothing appears on screen.

Trey did you find something that worked? I'm having the same problem of the second beep coming much later
