if your screen is grey, as in monochromatic, you can fix that by changing the settings in the subpanel "Screen accommodations
you can get there by following the steps as follows; Settings, General, Accessibility, Screen Accomodations
if your screen is a blank panel of grey, you may very well have an image failure.
in which case, it could be a couple things.
Most likely, this will require a screen replacement, however there are other things it could be. a GPU failure in the board, a disconnect in the LCD connectors, a damaged LCD connector, or least likely of all, a software failure.

It’s a grey block but it’s not in all screen. Is it display accommodations ? But there are many options in it
if only part of it is grey, then its not a setting.
So what do I do?
move to the next step. try a screen replacement.
