Error code SU-39176-6 after replace HDD

Hi,

I have a problem with my PS4 PRO. I bought new HDD Seagate Barracuda (1TB), download last firmware (954 MB) to my flash USB 3.0 (formated fat32) to folder PS4 - UPDATE - PS4UPDATE.PUP. According step by step processing I get message Error SU-39176-6.

I’ve tried change 4 USB flash drives (USB 2.0 and 3.0), trying download firmware from Safari, Chrome , etc.. the same result.

I have no idea if I have to formated new HDD? FAt32?

I’m frustrated. I’m realy appreciate your help!

Have you tried taking the hard drive out and putting it back it. It could be the hard drive either isn't in all the way, or not in completely.

Usually HDD do not need to be formatted, PS4 will erase the drive completely in this process, so HDD file system or even partition table is not relevant.

See if the problem persists with your original HDD, also check for Sony support for this error because this error code is very rare and not even found on PS4 dev wiki.
