Flashing folder and SSD not showing in disk utility

So that basically sums it up, my SSD doesn't even show up when using internet recovery's disk utility and when I finally decided that just buying a new SSD at Best buy($67 for comparable 250gb size drive? Awesome!) and reinstalling macos would be the least painless fix I found out that it's not that simple. So I'm wondering if there is something else I should try to attempt to fix this drive that could be making it not show up in disk utility, terminal commands or the like and if they are possible to do with only being able to load into internet recovery at the moment?

Thank you for your time and patience! Dealing with this has brought me to my favorite barstool where I am currently typing this and I hope that what I'm told is already an odd manner of speech hasn't become more.. well odd/confusing.

Thanks again

The SSD you bought is not an Apple Brand right? Most of us have found the blades made for PCs are not stable or just don't work, Try one from OWC.
