Does anyone have a Nest Guard tear-down?

Anyone have a tear down of Nest Guard..Specifically how hard is it to change the "non-user replaceable" rechargeable battery when it needs to be replaced? Is this something that a novice can do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

This is one of the most confusing products I have ever run across. Nest Guard, Nest Protect, Nest Secure.

This may possibly help you identify your product (which may go by more than one name) and how to change the batteries or if it is wired:

To Replace the Battery:

1. Remove circular tape on bottom (may need preheat)

2. Back out the two screws so that they clear the case

3. Insert a flat edge between the loosened screws and twist CCW toward the slots

4. Insert a flat screwdriver tip into each slot and push the entire assembly out of the case.

There are three connectors between the main assembly and the black plastic assembly that holds the battery. The battery can be replaced by loosening three screws to separate the main assembly from the battery assembly. Then, disconnect the larger connector from the main assembly

Replace battery and reassemble
