My refrigerator gets colder then the thermastat is set at and freezing
why does my whirlpool gold refrigerator getting colder than the temperature i am setting it at?...I tried cleaning coils

That refrigerator thermostat contacts are probably sticking causing it to get colder than it should. That’s common on that unit.

Normally there is not an exact setting just some numbers. During the winter my homes ambient temperature is lower. Thus I turn the temperature to a lower number to raise the temperature.
