System doesn't recognize Samsung EVO SSD
I want to install a new drive in my MacBook Pro. I chose the Samsung EVO 250 GB.
To install I followed these steps:
- Connecting the SSD with a SATA cable to my Mac. Using disk utility, erase the SSD. Clicked on GUID partition and MacOS extended (journaled).
- With carbon copy cloner I cloned my old hard drive to the SSD, including the reboot option. I then installed the new SSD in my system,
But when I turn it on it only shows the white screen of death. When I start up with cmd+r and go to disk utility, the SSD does not show up.
What did i do wrong? I hope someone can help me out!
Thanks in advance.
Is this a good question?

I would recommend you stick with Sierra. High Sierra has some issues still with SATA based SSD's with the newer APFS High Sierra automatically upgrades the drive to.
