How to fix ifixit screwdriver?

Hi everybody,

I have a ifixit screwdriver which I absolutely love it.

It served very well for me and I really appreciate the quality. Last week the small magnet which holds the bits in place came out. I tried to use some double sided adhesive tape but it does not work.

How can I fix the magnet in place? I know it's not a big deal but I don't want to put it in the recycle bin.

Thanks

I would use the setup you have in photo #2. Put a drop of superglue on the bottom on the magnet. Stick it all the way into the driver handle and leave it long enough to set up, then just remove the bit. The magnet should now be securely in place.

This failing, it has a lifetime warranty and you can just request a replacement.

Thank you for the answer Mayer,

It does not stay in the place. I should claim warranty!
