I have a G4 MDD dual 1.25GHz system (M8570). The samsung 400W power supply has always been fairly noisy and I am wondering if anyone has ever fixed this. I have heard that the AcBel is the noisy one, but this one seems to have become about as bad. Are there replacement fans that you can install? Anyone have the specs for them?

This was the main topic of discussion in 2003. The Verax silence kit was the definitive answer. It was expensive but I haven't looked it up in a while. Apple even offered a free fix: https://depot.info.apple.com/generic/ind...
