Strange issues with my Kindle 3

Hi everyone,

I will tell u the problems right now....

My kindle 3 showed the following screen "EMPTY BATTERY", so i tried to charged it for several hours and that seemed to work. Orange LED turned to Green LED and the kindle was alive. After a few pages, the screen froze on the sleep mode and the GREEN LED turned off. I tried to charge it again, and i saw the same result as before, but now, the LED is everytime green and it turn OFF after 5/7 seconds with a blanked page on the screen. Now im using m,y kindle while it is in charge, if i remove it to the charge, it will freeze and turn off again? any solutions? if the LED is Green, then the problem isn't the battery?

Thank YOU!

Hi,

It seems as though the battery is failing to hold the charge and needs to be replaced. Even rechargeable batteries have a lifespan.

Here is a link to the ifixit Kindle 3 Battery Replacement guide.

Battery suppliers are available online.

Just search for Kindle 3 battery to find one that suits you best.
