Water damage, than new LogicBoard, better but still not working
Hello,
i spilled water on the table and it got into my MacBookPro. It went off and only did a very quiet beep when turning it on. It didn't change after drying it out. Than i found out how to clean a logic board. I bought 100% alcohol, took the MBP apart and cleaned the parts but it still would just make that quiet beep. The charger worked though.
I than gave it up and bought a new Logic Board. After i put everything together it now makes the start-sound but nothing else would work, no keyboard oder trackpad light, no light on the screen, even the fan is not spinning.
What could be the reason for this? I don't think they sent me a new logic board, that doesn't work. Any ideas on my problem?
Is this a good question?

do you have a link to the part you ordered? it may not have serials or OF

The Mother Board could be damaged and that could be where you are getting these problems from.

I don't have a link but it definitely has the same part number.
@Anthony: The mother board is another word for logic board, right? And if the new logic board is broken too, why would it make the apple start in contrast to my original logic board?

Is it possible that because of the trying to turn it on and off while liquid was in there, that all of it, the display, the keyboard, the touchpad and the fan got somehow roasted?

It sounds like the replacement board may be defective. Can you connect an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse to test? If those work, then the other built-in components may be fried, too (as Antonia mentioned), though that's exceedingly rare. It's far more likely to be a defective logic board than multiple failing components.
