Can I "transplant" the touchscreen of a display to another?

Hello guys, so I bought a used x201 tablet lenovo thinkpad that came with a dead pixel stripe, so I ordered another display on internet but this new display doesn't have the touchscreen part (digitalizer + circuit), though it is working fine with my computer.

My question is, can I get that touchscreen and put it on the display that doesn't have it? Thanks!

If you can get a digitizer and you should be able to install it over top the new display if theres room in the bezel

The first thing to do is to see if you can separate the touchscreen from the LCD on the screen with the dead pixels. If so, see if you can then fit it to the new LCD. If not, the exercise should have shown you whether or not the LCD + touchscreen is a different assembly to the version without the touchscreen.
