iPhone vibrates when screen is pressed.

I have an iPhone 3g and have been facing a problem for quite some time.

My problem is whenever I press the LCD of iPhone, my phone vibrates and changes mode to silent and when I release the screen it goes back to ringing mode.

One more thing my iPhone's mute button is broken

Hence I need to know which all parts are faulty in my iPhone?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The headphone jack assembly is probably your problem. This connects to the mute button, as well as the silence switch, and may be damaged, or broken. You can find a new one here, and an installation guide here
