iMac 27" display clean
Hello, I love your guides.
I'm about to swap the HDD for SDD.
Since a display is off, I wonder if it is easy to clean the bottom edges of the display. They look sort of black smudges, likely caused by dust.
I wonder if you could share with your guide on this issue or just point at the right one if already online.
Thanks!
My best,
Andy
Is this a good question?

Andy "They look sort of black smudges, likely caused by dust." Post some images of those. That would enable us to see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that.
I am not sure what constitutes a sealed display but there are plenty of screws around the frame.....Can you check to see what model your panel is? Could be a LM270WQ1 SDF1

Thats screen burn in!
Your desktop image did this. The screens of the 2011 & 2012 models where more sensitive (Apple had a recall on them - long since over).
Switch your background to a plain blue with very little desktop clutter and leave the system running. Overtime it will fade.
Otherwise you'll need to replace the screen.

@oldturkey03 - Sorry the 2012 model is the first model of the 'Thin Series' from this model onwards Apple glued the cover glass to the LCD. There is no real way to pull off the cover glass without damaging the LCD.

Andy those do not look like burn-in. Those look like pressure marks on the diffuser sheets.
