Republic of ireland???

Somebody trying to swap the Republic of Ireland for an iPhone? That is just wrong....;-)

:-) Too much Six Lima Business training! Danielahampton assumed right without making a donkey out of him or I!

Okay, I am sorry I know you really did not want to swap Ireland ;-) seriously, just took a quick look at one of the sites I favor for my iPod logic boards and they might have the one you are looking for. they always list mass quantities but I have had plenty of luck by sending them an email and have gotten single quantities.http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/378016... I figured at least you could give it a try if nothing else could be interesting to see what the price would be. Anyway, good luck.

wasn't trying to make a donkey out of anyone.. in the uk(where I'm living) ROI refers to republic of ireland...where you can often acquire iphones which are blocked but will work in uk... was merely wondering if you were looking for cheap logic boards....

Chosen Solution

I'm assuming ROI is Return on Investment. I don't see why the boards wouldn't be swappable. No distinction is made in the repair manual on ifixit.com, so I would assume that there would be no problem.

Just make sure you're swapping the correct Carrier's parts. A Verizon board would probably not fit into an AT&T phone, as there were some changes made between the two models.

I figured it would, now it's just trying to find one for a reasonable price. ebay is rediculous! So it will have to be a future project.

Depending on where you live, you may be able to pick up a broken one for the free. Craigslist.org or freecycle yahoo groups sometimes have crazy people giving away free stuff like that, when it's just a busted LCD or something else that may be a little techy, but they don't want to worry with it. Good luck!
