Connector will not go back on

In disconnecting the digitizer cable connector, in trying to replace the front panel on my iPhone 5s, I accidentally unconnected a small rectangular connector next to the battery (not the LCD or front facing camera, they were already off.) Now it won't go back on, Is there a trick to it?

I took it to my local smartphone/tablet/computer repair. The guy at the front desk got out his splunger and had it back on in about a 30 secs. He did some other stuff for me. No charge! ITech Smartphone Repair in St Augustine, FL. Highly recommended!

is it possible that the connector attached to the board got separated from the board and came up with the connector at the end of the cable?

It's all possible. That connector has seen better days. If some of the pins lifted from the logic board, then you won't have a good electrical connection.

Try to inspect it under magnification to see. You might be able to re-shape it (be very gentle). If the connector has physically been damaged or is no longer connected, a micro-solderer can replace the connector.
